What is the matter with me?

Remember the fall table runner panel I bought in Iowa?  It was very lovely and I could have added batting and a backing, stitched it in the ditch, bound it and been done with it.  However, I can't do easy.  I always have to do something different....................instead,  I cut it apart, added 1/4 inch frames around each piece, sewed a sashing between each piece and added a border to it.  I will then layer it and proceed to quilt it to death, add a faced border to it.........AND TAKE FOREVER TO GET IT DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Why do I do this to myself?   No wonder I never get anything done.................
