Dallas' Lone Star
I made this Lone Star for my youngest grandson and I had a hard time giving it away. I love the blue and yellow palette. I really did a lot of quilting on it ---all on a home sewing machine. Notice the feather quilting in the yellow setting squares----and the small stipple quilting in the background of the yellow to make the feathers come forward-----and the small frame of Baptist Fan quilting on the blue fabric around the edge of the yellow---and the tiny diagonal grid quilting in the blue background. I finished this quilt with a yellow and blue checked binding. This is definitely one of my favorite quilts.
